Have a Holly Jolly Christmas, with this irresistible Cocospread Christmas Tree Puff Pastry 🎄!
‘Tis the time to make the ultimate Christmas treat of the holiday season!
Ingredients:
- 2 Puff pastry – 14x8”
- The Misfits Cocospread
- 1 egg beaten
- ½ tbsp brown sugar
- Confectioners sugar (powdered)
Method:
- Preheat the oven to 180º C. Line a large rectangular baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Place one of the puff pastry rectangles on a clean surface. Spread The Misfits Cocospread on top of the dough trying to cover well the edges. Place the second rectangle of puff pastry on top.
- With a sharp knife, cut, lengthwise, strips about 0.60 inches (1.50 cm) wide.
- Using your hands, shape each tree. Grasp the end of a strip and start making small and then bigger waves with it until you run out of strip and get a shape similar to that of a Christmas tree. Then, use a wooden stick (or the one of your choice) to secure the shape of each tree.
- Brush the trees with the beaten egg and sprinkle with a little brown sugar.
- Bake at 180º C for 15 minutes or until golden brown on top.
- Take the trees out of the oven and let them cool down for at least 10 minutes. Then sprinkle with a little powdered sugar and enjoy!
