The farm-gate and transit losses are where the largest and most structurally addressable waste occurs. Choose upcycled food brands. Every purchase from a brand using cosmetically rejected produce sends a commercial signal that appearance-based rejection has a cost, and that consumers will pay for the product regardless of whether the source ingredient looked perfect.
